BABY ROOM
6-24 Months
Our Baby Room is a self-contained room which cares for babies from 6 months to approximately 24 months of age, depending on when we feel the babies are ready to make the move into the main nursery. We aim to cater for each baby’s individual needs and ensure that the care that they have is similar to what happens at home. This allows them to settle in quickly and ensures they are not too disrupted by coming to nursery.

Our curriculum is designed to help your child gain self confidence and self esteem. It enhances children social, language, emotional and physical skills which also encourages children to develop with the practitioners help by extending their learning. Children learn about their world through the use of their senses. In our Tiny Leaders room, activities that focus on discovery and exploration will facilitate just that kind of learning.
We focus on the Prime areas from the Early Years Statutory Framework. These Include:

Our Approach
Our curriculum is designed to help your child gain self confidence and self esteem. It enhances children’s social, language, emotional and physical skills which also encourages children to develop with the practitioners help by extending their learning.
Each baby has a named key person who will offer a consistent and nurturing relationship for your baby. The key person will find out from you your baby’s routine, likes and dislikes in order to make sure your child’s care is tailored to their individual needs.
Our baby room is bright, spacious, and welcoming, allowing babies the freedom to learn, explore, express themselves, and interact and build relationships with practitioners and other children.
The room is decorated with soft furnishings to provide a relaxing environment to the babies.
Within our dedicated sensory room, babies are able to freely explore, watching moving lights and bubbles, which develops hand-eye coordination; the effects enhance their colour and shape recognition, the soft play area increases their sense of safety and confidence, and they learn about cause and effect when exploring textures. The calming environment of this room helps the children to bond and encourages positive interaction, while the relaxation promotes soothing, emotional health and holistic development.
